I have that problem too. I don’t excercise.
But on the contrary, some people just can’t pull their own weight, there’s nothing wrong with it.

Your biceps are weak.. Work on them and once you are there you will get better.

Work on your shoulders and weight. Either your shoulders are too weak or you’re a fat ass.

You’ll learn, or they’ll yell you to death. My daughter went, and said everything seemed to be an excuse for them to yell at you. I’d get in as good shape as humanly possible before going.

2 is ok for now, just try to squeeze in pull ups at the gym and do 2 for 2-3 months and try to to 4-10 there on. I’m sure with good exercise and motivation you will just be fine!

You need more upper body strength. Work out on your triceps, biceps, pecs, delts, traps… you know, get that Brock Lesnar look.

lose some weight, that might help. if you get there and can’t pass the initial strength test, then you will stay in the recieving platoon until you can perform each test. so unless you want to stay there for longer than 3 months, i’d recommend working yuor upper body.

They will “motivate” you to accomplish several pull ups….

You lack upper body strength. Most obstacles and exercises focus on upper body strength, such as pull ups, the wall, pole climbing, rope climbing, etc, you need to work out your upper body and quit focusing on push ups..You have to pass the IST before you will be placed into your platoon, if you fail it you will go to PCP platoon to build strength..I recommend you get busy on pull ups. good luck

Ever see full metal jacket? Remember the fat dude? They beat you up with soap if you make a mistake. Then you snap and become the best marine, and then……….well see the movie

Before you are sent to boot camp you have to do the asvab test- and pass. I’m sure that you need to do more than two pull- ups no matter if you are a male or female. You wouldnt be able to take it in that physical condition
