What physical exercises should i be prepared for in Navy boot camp?

I’m leaving for boot camp in a month and already conditioned myself by running doing situps and pushs regularly. But is there any other physical excersice i should look forward to that will put a strain on me physically?

Your are already going to be ahead of most as far as fitness. Continue on your current program and you will be fine.

Yes, I’m not sure if they do this any more but they’re called 8-count body builders.
You start out standing up.
Count 1 you crouch down, hands on ground, and knees bent
Count 2 “pump” legs back so that you are in a push up position.
Count 3 and 4 while in push up position spread your legs in one “jumping” move and bring them back together
Count 5 and 6 is a push up
Count 7 you “pump” your legs back to position 1(crouched)
Count 8 bring yourself back to standing position
Then the count starts all over again.
These are killer, especially when you have to do 50 of them but they really strengthen your core muscles and tone your whole body.
I really enjoyed my time in the Navy. Just try to soak it all in! It is definitely an experience I will never forget. What will your rate be? My only piece of advice for bootcamp is never forget that your RDC is there to help you grow as person, no matter how much you hate them. lol. Have fun and I wish you all the best!!!
