What is the policy for wrist watches at USMC recruit training?
May 12th, 2009 | by MakingMarines |Dev asked:
Will I be allowed to wear a wrist watch at recruit trianing? If I’m allowed to, what type/brand of watch is recommended for a career in the military? I know the Navy SEALs use Luminox. I’m looking at the digital G-Shock series for it’s shock and mud resistance. What are some suggestions/recommendations?

You will never need to know what time it is during basic training. You will be told when to rise, when to eat and ll of that will be without any input from you. I would recomend thatyou leave your watch at home.

No watches. Go with nothing. The Marine Corps will give you everthing you need while at recruit training. After that you can worry about what kind of watch to have.
