Without a doubt that is Sicily DZ. I have seen that DZ many times when I was with Division. I was with B 1/504 from 98-02, the best years of my life looking back on it. I made friends you only find once, I miss you guys, you know who you are.

This isn’t Force Recon. Force Recon is the Marine component to SOCOM (which is an Airborne unit). This however, is the 82nd Airborne Division jumping into Sicilly drop zone at Fort Bragg.

Hey I’m planning on joining the Corps, or Navy SEALs in two years, and I’m confused because I’ve heard that the Force Recon are now not in use, or something like that. Is that true? Will they be a better fighting force a few years from now?

No, Force Recon is still used and will continue to be. You may have heard about the reforms the military is undergoing regarding integrating Marine Corps Special Forces into SOCOM. Just look it up on Wikipedia if you’re confused; it’s surpsingly accurate.
