The best way I can think of to prepare for boot camp is to immediately start a rigorous physical training program. Get used to three hours of sleep a night and have some stranger scream at you at the top of his lungs. Keep in mind boot camp is more mental than physical. Just keep your ears and eyes open and your mouth shut you will be fine.

there is no preparing for Boot Camp/ Basic Triaining…. if you want to get yourself physically ready…. thats another story.

Just do some push ups, sit ups and run. Do it like the Pointers, run everywhere for a couple weeks or months and you will start to get there. Just don’t come with an attitude and you will be fine.

You should be able to go to either (goarmy.com) or (army.com), and find answers to most of your questions. If you still have trouble talk to your recruter, or post a more specific question. Remember half the fun is fear of the unknown.

Just do pushups, test yourself, you need to do them for two full minutes, as many as possible, and push your self hard. Same with situps. Run, I assume you are young, so run. You will need to run two miles in about 15 minutes to pass the PT test. Test yourself and see where you are. It’s so much easier if you can do it ahead of time. Get yourself flexible, stretch. Mostly just lose the lazy mindset which most people have just naturally, its pretty easy once you get your kool-aid pumpin heart pumping blood instead, lol. And like others have said, keep a low profile and your mouth shut. Your own personality will come out but the Drills do not want the class clown and they won’t tolerate whiners. Thanks for being a great American!
