In the Marines, are women still segregated after boot camp?

I know that in Marine boot camp, the women train apart from the men and even have all female DIs, but does that change afterwards? The reason I ask is that I’ve always been more comfortable around guys (about 97% of my friends are male).
Just wondering.

Nope. Only in Boot Camp. After graduation there is no segregation.

Also females get treated a lot better and have it easier.

If its anything like the Army, then they will be segregated during Boot Camp… In school, they might live in the same barracks, but they will have a separate floor for just females…

Once you get to permanent duty station, then they will be segregated by rooms only… (i.e. 20 rooms on a floor, 10 of those are female rooms.). It doesnt matter where at on the floor.

No. You still need to work together to accomplish the same job / mission.

Only in boot camp you are segregated. Just in the past 5 or 6 years women train with the males in parts of mct.

No at MCT you willl be with guys things are coed there. You wil also bond with your female recruits and consider them family. You might only get along with guys now but you will bond with other female recruits when you are going through boot camp and hopefully have new friends from all parts of the country for life.
