Well, sort of like the difference between eating cotton candy and tacks, both are possible but one is a lot harder to do. No impossible but much more difficult.

Marine boot camp is probably the toughest of all the services. The Air Force and Marines have much different roles, and as such, also focus on different training.

Well actually, not many people can answer that question.

You will be hard pressed to find many people who have went thru both.

    Physically, Marine Boot is harder.

    Mentally AF Basic is harder.

    But it really doesn’t matter.

All Boot or Basic is there for, is to turn civilians into Marines or Airmen.

It is not the end all of training, heck it only last for either 6 or 13 weeks.

Your Tech School or AIT will be harder than Basic or Boot.

i think everyone will agree the marines is perceived as the hardest. I don’t think anyone has been through both… but i know there are fitness requirements you have to meet before you can even go to marine boot camp. Also it is 13 weeks vs 6 weeks. I think that is one think people take into consideration, the marines also do something called the crucible that they are waken up in the middle of the night for and are not given time to sleep through. The Air Force has warrior week but it is not as intense. I don’t know if any basic training can be considered a field day, you will get yelled at and exert yourself physically no matter what service you go into, and will go through inspections. The Air Force has done a lot of work to make basic training more geared towards field work, and has raised their physical standards to be even higher than the army’s to pass the physical test. but I still don’t think people would say it is harder than the marines or the army.
