Continue the training, it will help you. If you want more tips, visit. They have a page devoted to fitness but you need to browse and find the information.

It seems you have your mind set on it, and that is great.

You are training alot which is awesome keep up the good work in that area.

And a big congratulations on the weight loss, that says alot.

With you’re mind frame you sound like you will achieve your goal.

Keep an eye on the food intake, and keep up the great fitness regime, they ‘ll make a marine out of you.

You are on the right track with your training. In boot camp you will be assigned the diet plate on chow. You will get reduced portions until your weight comes in line with the standards. Do not fear, I entered boot camp at 190lbs and I ran track and cross country. 12 weeks later, I weighed 178 and ran a faster three miles than when I ran cross country.

yo man i leave for marine bootcamp may 27th! thats good you have a dont quit attitude! Just prepare yourself mentally, pyhsically they will get us to where we need to be. im just going to do as im told and keep my mouth shut. try and shut off my brain. maybe try and do some mountain climbers and run stairs and push ups because they will punish us all and the better fit we are going into in the less toll the whole ordeal will take on us! I cant wait to go, im excited as should you! Ill see ya on the yellow foot steps! ha ha

Keep up the work but also try and get well below your weight limit. If you don’t, Boot Camp will be that much more difficult for you.
If you are overweight, or very close, you may be put on limited rations (less food) as well as be subjected to extra PT while you are there.
You will loose some weight in BC since you will be quite busy for 12-14 hours a day. You will aso loose th eluxury of junk food and sodas, etc…

The object of Boot Camp is not to stand out from the crowd (unless it is a really good thing). Being overweight is definitely not a reason to stand out.

You attitude is good, keep thinking that way, and keep up the good work, but believe me, your weight can be a big issue in the Corps.

How can you say this..”and i dont think i can slow down my eating habits,”

You better learn right now how to cut back back on what you eat..the more you get used to it now the less you will suffer in boot camp.

When do you ship out to boot camp? I’ll sound like a bad infomercial, but I bought the TRX from FitnessAnywhere.com and it helped me lose 30 pounds in two months (while watching what I ate. Cut back a lot on the junk food and drank a good amount of slim fast). The military version comes with a Navy Seals workout that is geared toward active duty members that are going to BUDs. It’s ALL bodyweight exercises which is perfect for boot camp. You’ll be busting out pushups in no time!

Also, chicagomarineofficer.com has some good workouts and a schedule that was used for Marine Officers Candidate School. Could be a good tool for you to use to prepare.

Finally, read as much as you can before you go!! Learn what you can about Marine Corps history and memorize all the important things (Riflemans Creed, General Orders, etc.).

You better learn to run on an empty stomach.

You can last without food for days, not without water or motivation. Food isnt motivation. Food shouldnt stop you, wtf!

Of all the things that will get in your way if you even get a chance to go down to the Island, food shouldnt be one of em.

No one can defeat you, only you can defeat yourself and give in.

Good God, the ‘check spelling’ link is there for a reason.

Anyway, have you ever seen Full Metal Jacket? If not go to blockbuster and rent it (or buy it at K-mart if your hearts content). There is a character in the movie which the drill instructor referred to as ‘gomer pile;’ i imagine you resembling him in boot camp
