How long are the terms for the marines and the tours in Iraq?

I know the Army offers 3-5 year terms but how long is a term in the marines. I am considering joining but I have a lot of education ahead of me and a one year difference is a long time. Also, how long are the tours in Iraq? I’ve heard of three months to eighteen months.

go air force. the are the man in the rear with the gear. my husband is on a 120 day rotation right now. home 120 - gone 120ish. but he has never been gone longer than 6 months at the time and he has been in 10 years. and if you are in school the air force depending on the sistuation will let you finish you semester before you have to go, or set it up so you dont loss the credits you have already started.

My husband’s BN gets 7 month tours because there’s only two other units that rotate with him…if that makes any sense.
