so im guessing ur a female being concerned about ur boyfriend/husband…

dont worry about a thing, the only changes u might see is that he will be extremely horny when he gets back so be ready for it ;)

also, his attitude might get more aggresive, i know mine did but dont take it offensively if he does. deep inside were still the sweet people we used to be haha, its up to u to get it out.
he will be more aggresive and confident, u will def be able to tell he is serving in the military, he might have a tendacy of eating really fast at the dinner table, etc.

as for how he might treat a girl/ woman… well i dated the same girl since my freshman year of high school until my senior year. i enlisted junior year and went to BCT the following summer. i was the kinda guy that always gave in to her to make her happy and such, i let her take charge and stuff like that, i was a sweet guy. when i came out of BCT, i was more aggressive with her, i didnt let her take charge, i wasnt so sweet anymore either lol. but she loved me and stayed with me and now were getting married =) =) =)
its just the matter of getting used to it, the change that is

My husband is the marines and is now a corporal and has been in for two years. We have been together for four and half years. After boot camp, he will get more aggresive and he will want to go to iraq, so be prepared for deployments even if is in the reserves. They will retain the ‘i don’t care’ attitude. and learn everything about the marines, because life will change big time if he is active duty. As for entering civilian life, they dont. They are taught in boot camp, that once you become a marine you will always be a marine, you will always be treated differently, and people can tell a marine from a civilan by the way they talk, look and walk.
    Good luck!

it probably changes different people in different ways. i have a friend that before he left for boot camp was somewhat of a nerdy un-confident person. when he came out he was noticeably more confident and calm. he said the drill sergeants would make them cry almost everyday

I think it depends on the person. My husband really didn’t change that much right after boot camp. The change was a lot more slow. But then my husband was 24 when he joined the Marines. Now, he’s been in for over 4 years, and is in a position of authority, and he’s moto (motivated), He keeps his students looking and acting like Marines. It just seems like once they get out to the fleet, after their training, some of them slack when it comes to PT, cutting their hair every week, and shaving every day.
