    Also, not to mention the fact that F-35′s vertical thrust runs on a completely different mechanisms and principles. Whereas the Harrier jet simply redirects the jet thrust downwards, F-35 redirects the mechanical force of the main jet engine into the central shaft containing a secondary jet engine facing downwards.
