any advice before going through marine boot camp ?

I want to join the marines and right now i am just getting a bunch more info about it and is there any advice somebody can give me about the marine boot camp it seams really hard is it and what advice can you give me before i join the marines.

    I’m not sure just how hard it is but I would imagine it’s easier today than it usually is. Every branch of the service is desperate.

    I think the fact that your considering it means a lot, I would work out and get in shape. God Bless

    Keep your mouth shut and your ears open, do as you are told as quickly and as quietly as possible DO NOT draw unwanted attention to yourself and do the very best of your ability.

    Derek is right….You also want to make sure you are in really good shape and remember….Don’t take anything that they say to heart. They are supposed to tear each person down and make you all into a team, it’s not personal. Have a good attitude and keep in mind that they do not hate you.

    I always tell people to read “Boot”…will give you a general idea of what usmc boot camp is like. Uncertain of “boot” for females…but I am certain the training could be close to the same.

    I’d be in very , very good shape before I went. I’d look online at for more information….start using your computer to get the information you need…

    go to amazon. com and get some books…There;’s a wealth of information about boot camp.

    Boot camp for Marines is hard….it’s supposed to be…The men and women who go into combat sometimes will hear their drill instuctors words…in their heads…saving them…..

    Also read “Into the Crucible”…again go to amazon for like minded books.
